As you all read in last week’s article, Royal International Miss is a pageant that strives to give young women and girls the opportunity to grow into poised, empowered, and confident versions of themselves. To showcase the astounding group of young women and girls who are Royal International Miss titleholders, I will be making Titleholder Tuesday RIM-exclusive from now until Internationals in July! I can’t wait for you to get to know these phenomenal people through Titleholder Tuesday.
Now, it’s time to introduce you to our first Royal International Miss Tuesday Titleholder:
The work is worth it!
She is Laura Singer from the nation’s capital: Washington, District of Columbia. She currently holds the title of Royal International Miss International Role Model and has previously held titles in the USA Ambassador, Miss American Coed, and Teen American Nation systems. This 24-year-old can fly trapeze and adores traveling.
Be sure to follow her Instagram.
Take it away, Laura!
Once upon a time, I wanted to go to college for theatre. I learned about pageants my senior year of high school and wanted to use them as an outlet for talent. Little did I know the first time I stepped onto the stage would change my life forever!
I love how pageants challenge me to constantly improve myself and to never settle. I’m surrounded by accomplished and driven women who push me to be the best I can be.
Winning my current title is my favorite memory, I had spent hundreds of hours (literally) preparing for the pageant, and to finally hear that my hard work had paid off was a beautiful moment.
As an International Role Model, one of my duties is to promote our international platform: “Celebrating Literacy all Year Round!”. I promote literacy in my community by collecting books for students and need, and by serving as a mentor at the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy. I also volunteer with a number of organizations including Miss Amazing, St. Jude, and the Priceless Gown Project.
I love that The Queen Next Door connects girls with queens and role models from all over the country on a platform everyone can access.
Laura will be passing down her international title at Royal International Miss Internationals 2019! She has done a great job promoting literacy and carries the crown with elegance and flair. I can’t wait to see what this passionate, driven, and adventurous young lady will accomplish with the remainder of her reign.
